14-19 Diplomas - Bringing learning to life
Introducing the Diploma
The Diploma is an exciting
new qualification set to become one of the
three main education options - alongside
GCSEs/A levels and Apprenticeships. It will
provide a recognised and well-respected
route to further and higher education or
direct to employment.
The Diploma has been jointly developed by
schools, colleges, higher education and
employers. These new qualifications, combine
both theory and practical learning with
functional skills in English, Maths and
ICT.
The following courses are available form September 2009:
| Creative & Media | Level 2 (study at school in collaboration with the College or directly at the College) |
| Hair & Beauty | Level 2 (study at school in collaboration with the College) |
| Hospitality | Level 2 (study at school in collaboration with the College) |
| IT | Level
2 (study at school in collaboration
with the College) Level 3 (available at the College) |
