Administrators are people who work with others in a variety of ways to keep business running smoothly and efficiently. For all organisations, administration is a crucial business function.

Administration staff tasks include:

  • Filing/ maintain records
  • Word processing letters, reports, etc
  • Spreadsheets/Data inputting/Databases
  • Sending/receiving e-mails
  • Answering telephone/switchboard
  • Receiving visitors/Organising appointments
  • Apprenticeship Framework:

    NVQ 2 or NVQ 3 - in Business Administration

    Functional Skills:
    NVQ 2: English & Maths Level 1
    NVQ 3: English & Maths Level 2

    Technical Certificate - Principles of Business Administration

    NVQ Level 2 Certificate Core Units

  • Manage own performance in a business environment
  • Improve own performance in a business environment
  • Work in a business environment
  • Communicate in a business environment

    NVQ Level 3 Diploma Core Units
  • Manage own performance in a business environment
  • Evaluate and improve own performance in a business environment
  • Work in a business environment
  • Communicate in a business environment

    Plus a range of optional units to suit individual job role. Learners must be employed within a relevant
    occupation. Apprenticeships can start at any time of the year.
