

The first Hairdressing & Barbering Employer Forum Meeting of the New Year took place on 16th January at the Wheel Restaurant and Image Centre at Parson’s Walk. The event was very successful and well attended with 14 employers in attendance plus 14 Image Centre staff.
The meeting started in The Wheel Restaurant where guests experienced a taste of the high quality food and service available from our own catering students.
New Employer Forum members Lisa and Ella from Dads and Lads Barbers shop in Springfield delivered a fantastic demonstration workshop in the Image Centre on Barbering and Pattern Cutting Techniques.
The Forum Panel has grown from strength to strength over the past five years with employers playing an active role in sharing best practice. Previous meetings have included; demonstrations by the Image Centre Artistic Team supported by Wella, Apprenticeship trainees showcasing their skills; presentations and demonstrations by forum members, Harry Callaghan who is a Consultant Trichologist gave a presentation on Litigation and has offered his services to members free of charge. Nikki Lanaghan proprietor of Object D’Art in Bolton ran a demonstration workshop on New and Innovative techniques in dressing long hair.
