Cookery Road Show

Wigan pupils have been experiencing a cookery master class from Chef Daniel Winstanley.  Daniel a Catering Lecturer at Wigan & Leigh College has taken the cookery roadshow into schools across the borough.  Daniel said, “I believe passionately about getting young people involved in preparing and cooking food.  Educating them about the benefits of eating healthy food, and improving their confidence and social skills.”

Daniel, a former Wigan & Leigh College student, has built a successful career in the Catering & Hospitality industry becoming Head Chef at the largest 4 star hotel in the Lake District at just 25 years of age.  Daniel has now worked at the College for over 2 years and is excited to take the cookery roadshow further.  “The project has been a real success and we would welcome other schools that would like to be involved in the roadshow.”
