Exam Results Information
RESULTS SUMMER 2021
There have been further changes to the dates for the publication and availability of results this year in light of the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic.
As soon as the awarding body make results available to us with confirmation that we can share them with you, we will upload individual results onto the College ProPortal platform.
GCSE RESULTS
Results will be available via Pro Portal from 8.30am on Thursday 12th August. You will also receive an email, containing your results, from englishandmaths@wigan-leigh.ac.uk. If you are having trouble accessing Pro Portal, or you need to discuss your results further, please contact your tutor in the first instance.
A LEVEL RESULTS
These are being released on the nationally agreed date of Tuesday 10th August. We will send you an email, using your College email address, to let you know when your result is uploaded to ProPortal. The intention is for results to be available by 8.30am.
VOCATIONAL QUALIFICATION RESULTS
The following qualifications have national release dates as set out below:
BTEC Level 2 qualifications - Thursday 12th August
BTEC Level 3 qualifications - Tuesday 10th August
City & Guilds Level 2 Technicals - Thursday 12th August
City & Guilds Level 3 Technicals - Tuesday 10th August
NCFE/CACHE Level 2 (Early Years) - Thursday 12th August
NCFE/CACHE Level 3(Early Years) - Tuesday 10th August
We will send you an email, using your College email address, to let you know when your result is uploaded to ProPortal. The intention is for results to be available by 8.30am.
CERTIFICATES
Certificates are usually sent to the College two or three weeks after results are released. Sometimes it can be as late as November, so with further disruption this year it may be even later.
We will post examination certificates to you as soon as we receive them from the awarding body. If your classmates have received their results and you haven’t, please email your tutor in the first instance. They will confirm if the results are available before you follow up directly with the examinations department at exams@wigan-leigh.ac.uk

APPEALS PROCEDURE
During the process of assessing your grades this summer, the College has set out an appeals process in line with JCQ recommendations. If you feel that you have grounds to appeal based on your results, please refer to the policy attached which provides further information. In the first instance, please contact your tutor to discuss your grades.
