Exam Results Information
The publication and availability of results is a little different this year in light of the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic. The way programmes have been assessed this summer has impacted on the timing and process for receiving results.
As soon as the awarding body make results available to us with confirmation that we can share them with you, we will upload individual results onto the College ProPortal platform.
GCSE ENGLISH & MATHS RESULTS FROM NOVEMBER 2020: Please
be aware that results will be available via Pro Portal from 8am on Thursday 14th
January. You will also receive an email, containing
your results, from firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are having trouble accessing Pro Portal, or you need to discuss
your results further, please contact your tutor in the first instance.
Vocational qualification results
We expect results to be released gradually over a period of weeks from 1 August. We will send you an email, using your College email address, to let you know when your result is uploaded to ProPortal.
We have been informed earlier this evening (Wednesday 19th August) by Pearson that schools and colleges must not release BTEC Level 1 and 2 results on Thursday 20th August as scheduled.
In line with Ofqual’s announcement this week that A Level and GCSE students are to receive Centre Assessed Grades, Pearson will be reviewing and regrading BTEC results, where appropriate.
This will apply to BTEC Level 3 Nationals (2010 QCF and 2016 RQF), BTEC Level 1/2 Tech Awards, BTEC Level 2 Technicals and BTEC Level 1/2 Firsts.
This will not delay or affect any learners progression to study at Wigan & Leigh College next year.
A Level/GCSE results
These are being released as usual on the nationally agreed date of Thursday 13 August for A levels and Thursday 20 August for GCSEs. We will send you an email, using your College email address, to let you know when your result is uploaded to ProPortal.
GCSE grades will be available online from 8am on Thursday 20th August.
Certificates are usually sent to the College two or three weeks after this date. Sometimes it can be as late as November, so with further disruption this year it may be even later.
We will post examination certificates to you as soon as we receive them from the awarding body. If your classmates have received their results and you haven’t, please email your tutor in the first instance. They will confirm if the results are available before you follow up directly with the examinations department at email@example.com
If you have forgotten your password, please contact your tutor in the first instance.
