APPRENTICE ENGINEER – MACHINIST- DUKE WELL PRECISION

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person to work as an apprentice within our Machine Shop. Training will be provided on both milling, turning and inspection to aid production needs.

Working within the Engineering team in the workshop duties will include:

  • Machining components from specialist materials using conventional and/or CNC machine tools such as centre lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, horizontal and cylindrical grinding machines, boring machines, single and multi-axis CNC machine tool centres
  • To use and interpret engineering data and documentation such as engineering drawings, technical data and computer generated programmes
  • To set up, operate and adjust/edit equipment settings as applicable to the machine tool being used
  • To be able to produce, prove and/or edit CNC programmes
  • During and on completion of the machining operations be expected to measure and check the components being produced and make adjustments to the equipment/programme to ensure components meet the required specification

ENGINEERING APPRENTICESHIP - RPA DENTAL

Apprentice engineer to undertake installation of dental equipment including dental units, x-rays, compressors, suction motors and medical cabinets. They will also be installing digital x ray systems including software onto computers. They will learn to fault find and service the relevant equipment. All relevant training will be given.

The role is of Apprentice engineer within the technical department they will work closely with all the other engineers within the department learning how to repair, install and fault find on dental chairs, digital x rays, compressors, suction systems. They will learn all aspects of the job gaining experience and gradually working on more complex installations. They will work in the workshop on repairs as well as going to site all over the UK installing and repairing equipment in hospitals private and NHS practices.

The Apprentice will need to complete:

  • A programme of training within the company
  • To become proficient in the application of a wide range of tools including power tools and calibration equipment
  • Fitting and assembly skills of dental equipment including dental furniture
  • To be trained on the electronic service manager we use with in our organisation and the manufacturers extranet

The Apprentice will report to the service manager and technical Director and interact with all the technicians.
