Employment Services LogoWhatever your situation or personal background we have a number of different programmes which will support you to find the right job.

We offer you a personal Information Advice and Guidance Session with our Employability Co-ordinator who will identify areas of development and agree goals to set you on your path to gaining employment.

Training Programmes

Engaging in our training programmes will not affect benefits such as Employment and Support Allowance or Job Seeker’s Allowance.

If you have seen a job you would like to apply for or would like to work in a particular industry then we can help you improve your skills and confidence through training and employability skills like CV writing and interview techniques.

Employment Services at Wigan & Leigh College provides individuals with the opportunity to develop their employability skills or to re-train in another occupational area to enable them to gain employment.

Breaking News...Unique to our College

We have recently invested in some new software called Careers Coach.  This allows you to choose a career.  It will then give you:

  • The range of jobs within the industry
  • An indication of whether the industry is in growth or decline and tell you the average salary
  • You will then be able to look at College courses linked to your chosen career

If you would like to know more about Careers Coach contact the Employment Service at
