Is this course for me?
This course is ideal for students who are interested in understanding how businesses operate, make decisions, and compete in dynamic markets.
You will learn about key business concepts, including marketing, finance, operations and human resources. Topics include business strategy, decision-making, entrepreneurship, and the impact of external influences on businesses.
Two 1.5 hour written exam papers for AS Year 1. Three 2 hour written exam papers for A2 Year 2.
Full-time for two academic years.
A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-5 including English and Maths and 2 GCSE subjects graded 9-6
A-Level business provides a strong foundation for university degrees in Business, Economics, Accounting and Management. It also supports careers in marketing, finance, consulting and entrepreneurship. Some students may progress onto degree apprenticeships or start their own business.
Business studies encourage analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, which are valuable in many career paths. The course often includes real-world applications and case study analysis.
