Is this course for me?
Studying A-Level History will deepen your understanding of the past, helping you develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to form well-argued perspectives—essential for university and future careers. If you enjoy exploring how historical events have shaped the modern world, then History is for you.
We study the fascinating period of 1919-1945 of Democracy and Nazism. We also study a unique period in British History and how industrialisation transformed the country from 1783-1885. After that you can choose a coursework topic that inspires you and allows you to explore the history you love.
2 exams at AS (1 hour and 30 minutes)
2 exams at A Level (2 hours 30 minutes)
NEA coursework (A Level only)
Full-time for two academic years.
A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-5 including English and Maths. 2 GCSE subjects graded 9-6 (one in an essay-based subject).
You may progress to study at university (including Russell group) for a degree in a related subject.
We offer a range of sites to inspirational locations which add richness and brings history to life! Each year students visit museums, key locations both locally and nationally and a small group visit Auschwitz each year.

Students aged 19+ will need to pay an exam fee of £64.00
