Is this course for me?
Those who are looking for a career in the media sector.
Creative types who have the ability to work well as part of a team and who have an interest in telling stories across a range of digital media.
Students will also be required to complete a substantial industry placement.
This course will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the media industry, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of content creation and production. You'll learn about the creative economy, digital landscapes, storytelling, and industry software, as well as develop professional skills and ethics. The course also includes an industry placement, providing valuable real-world experience.
Through continual assessment using practical observations, written assignments, exams and an employer set project.
Full time for two academic years.
A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-4 including English and maths.
You may secure employment in the media industry in a variety of roles.

• Studio Sound Engineer
• Audio-Visual Technician
• Camera Operator
• Live Sound Engineer
• Assistant Producer/Director in TV/film
• Content Creator
You may want to continue your studies to degree level on courses such as BA (Hons) Media.
