Textile and Fashion Maker T Level
Is this course for me?
Those who are looking for a career in the fashion and textiles sector.
Creative types who have the ability to work well with their hands and have a passion for bringing design to life.
Students will also be required to complete a substantial industry placement.
You will develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the creative sector, including:
• the creative economy
• the individual in the creative industries
• cultural context and vocabulary
• audience and consumer needs
• legal and regulatory requirements
• professional standards and conduct in the workplace
• equality, diversity and inclusion requirements
• research skills
• project methodology and administration
• continued professional development.
In addition, you will also complete one module of occupation-specific content in Textiles and Fashion.
Through continual assessment using practical observations, written assignments, exams and an employer set project.
Two academic years.
A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-4 including English and maths, and an art related subject.
You may secure employment in the manufacturing, creative and design sectors across the clothing industry.
You could be producing premium garments for various markets, including womenswear, menswear and childrenswear.

• Wardrobe Assistant
You may want to continue your studies to degree level on courses such as BA (Hons) Fashion or BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing and Promotion.
