Is this course for me?
Our courses are designed for students who are passionate about music and interested in developing the practical and technical skills needed to work in this exciting industry. You will learn in the very best facilities, in a dedicated centre that is vibrant and energetic. You will explore a wide range of music genres and work with a professional team of tutors who bring a wealth of industry experience. We will also provide you with a valuable insight into how the music industry works and relevant career opportunities.
The course is delivered in module form, each one is designed to give you the knowledge and skills required to help you move towards a career in the music Industry. Some modules involve recording and producing bands and artists, creating music and sound for film, game and TV, producing electronic music, acoustics and synthesis and live sound engineering. You will also learn about the music industry and how to set up your own business or get work as a freelancer.
Assessment is through a balance of practical work, portfolios of production work and written assignments. There are no formal examinations.
Full time for two academic years
A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-4 including maths or English. You will need to successfully pass an audition.
You will develop skills for both work and/or university. Many of our ex-students are currently enjoying successful careers as musicians, sound engineers and educators.
Students will work with a professional team of staff with a broad experience of the entertainment industry. If you are 16-18 years old, you may be eligible for our FREE bus pass. Find out more at Free Bus Travel

Students aged 19+ will need to pay an exam fee of £250.00
