Is this course for me?
If you are interested in working in a dynamic industry where innovation is paramount, this qualification is aimed to develop your skills in preparation for entry to the IT industry. This qualification is ideal for those who have not decided on a specialism, as this qualification provides training in software development, website development and how technology works, alongside exciting guest speakers, trips, work experience activities and visits!
Topics include: Website development using HTML and cascading style sheets, computer programming, digital graphics, creating an online portfolio and multimedia.
You will be assessed via a combination of internal and external methods including formal examination.
Full time for one academic year
A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-3 or equivalent including maths or English.
Achievement will allow progression onto the Level 3 ICT courses
