Creative Media Skills First Diploma
Is this course for me?
This exciting course will allow you to develop a range of theory and production skills for the UK's dynamically changing media industry. From understanding the ways audiences view a product, to the writing and creation of content such as radio/podcasts, short films, music videos and adverts. This course offers you the chance to develop your creative, analytical and production skills within the creative media sector.
The Level 2 course prepares you to take your ideas from the planning, through the production stages and on to evaluation and collating audience feedback. You will learn to plan a complete production by combining a vital understanding of your target audience and practical production skills. You will work across the video, radio and motion graphics disciplines in order to create a wide range of media products.
Continuous assessment of coursework, involving group and individual assignments. Assignments range from producing adverts to the creation of short film, music videos and podcasts. You will not be required to sit an examination.
Full time for one academic year
A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-3 including English.
