Nail Technology Certificate
Is this course for me?
Level 2 Certificate in Nail Technology is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in: how to provide and maintain nail enhancements and manicure treatments
To further enhance your practical skills you will learn the following practical units: How to provide nail art, Pedicure treatments, Manicure treatments, How to provide and maintain nail enhancements, Lash and Brow Treatments, Make up application and Skin tanning.
To complete the qualification, you will have to do Maths and English alongside your course until you gain a grade 4 in the subject
Creation of a Portfolio
Practical assessments - completed on both peers and the general public
Knowledge based assessments (through the completion of work booklets)
Knowledge based on-line exams
GCSE Maths and English exams if required
Full Time for one academic year.
A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-3 or equivalent.
When you have successfully completed this qualification will have the opportunity to progress to one of the following qualifications:
• Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology
• Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing
• Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Level 2 Diploma in Make up Artistry
You are required to:
Be ready - Present a professional image in the salon environment by wearing uniform - this can be purchased from the college
Be respectful - Communicate and behave professionally in the salon and college environment - you will be required to give and receive treatments
Be safe - Follow safe and hygienic working practices to include bringing correct tools and equipment - this can be purchased from the college

Students aged 16-18 do not pay exam fees.
Students aged 19+ will need to pay an exam fee of £92.00
