Understanding Dignity and Safeguarding in Adult Healthcare Settings Level 2 Certificate

Have you ever thought about how you could help protect innocent and vulnerable people who might be suffering from abuse, harm or neglect? This qualification will provide you with a thorough understanding of the importance of dignity and safeguarding.
This qualification is ideal for anyone who is currently working, or wants to work, in the adult health and social care sector. You will learn how to identify safeguarding issues, and uphold excellent standards of care provision for vulnerable adults.
Aims:
• Develop knowledge of dignity, duty of care, and safeguarding principles in adult health and social care.
Objectives:
• Prepare for workplace roles supporting vulnerable adults.
• Understand the consequences when principles are not upheld.
This course is split into four manageable units:
Unit 1: Understanding safeguarding in adult health and social care
Unit 2: Principles of dignity in adult health and social care
Unit 3: Understanding duty of care in adult health and social care
Unit 4: Understanding dilemmas and public concerns in adult health and social care
You will complete online platform-based questions — there are no exams and no grades.
To pass, you must show that you have met all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria set out in the qualification specification.
Our qualified assessors will give you detailed feedback, 1:1 support, and clear targets to help you succeed.
Support is available through the learning portal, email, or phone.
If your work doesn't meet the required standard, you will receive feedback, a new target date, and the chance to resubmit.
This course runs over 16 weeks and includes a recommended 145 guided learning hours (GLH). You can apply at any time, with flexible start dates available throughout the year.
There is no specific prior skill or knowledge required for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved a level 1 health and social care-related qualification.
We recommend you already have at least a Level 1 in English (GCSE grade 3/D or equivalent).
