This course gives you the core knowledge and technical skills needed to succeed in the cost and commercial management side of construction.
You'll learn how to accurately measure works, manage budgets, understand legal frameworks, and apply the latest digital tools used across the industry. The course prepares you to support construction projects from start to finish — with a focus on value, sustainability, and compliance.

You'll also build transferable skills in problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and financial reporting — giving you a strong foundation to move into junior QS roles or progress to further study.
Assessment is practical and work-focused. You'll complete:

These assessments are designed to reflect real-life scenarios, enabling you to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations.
You'll study 1 day per week for 2 years. This part-time format is designed to work alongside your job or personal commitments.
To apply, you'll need:
• 96 UCAS points (MMM) from an Extended Diploma.
• GCSE Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
We also welcome applications from mature students with experience, a portfolio of work, or references from employers.
