Designed for individuals looking to enter or progress within the esports sector, the HNC/HND in Esports (Production) provides a comprehensive understanding of the esports ecosystem, with a particular emphasis on media production and event management.
Over two years, you'll engage with a range of units that blend core principles with specialised production-focused content. The curriculum is designed to equip you with the skills needed to thrive in the fast-paced world of esports production.

The modules listed in bold are core (mandatory) modules. Additional optional modules * are also included to make up the total credits required for your qualification — these are chosen by course leaders and maybe subject to change.
You'll be assessed through a range of practical and creative coursework designed to reflect real-world esports production. This includes:
• Live event planning and delivery
• Video production and editing
• Presentations and pitches
• Research projects and reflective reports
• Group work and individual assignments
There are no traditional exams — instead, you'll build a professional portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills, creativity, and readiness to work in the industry.
You'll study full-time for 3 days per week for two academic years. (Tues & Thurs, 9am-4pm, Fri, 9am-12pm - can be subject to change)
To apply, you'll need:
• At least 80 UCAS points from a relevant subject area.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
We also welcome mature students with relevant work experience, a portfolio of practical work, or employer references.
This course opens up a range of exciting next steps:
• Employment - Pursue roles such as esports production coordinator, content creator, or event manager
• Top-Up Degree - Progress to a full honours degree in Esports Production, Media Production, or a related field
• Higher or Degree Apprenticeships - Engage in structured professional development within the esports industry
