Is this course for me?

Accountants play a major role in any business, large or small, and play a key role in decision making. An apprenticeship in accounts will teach you all the basic skills you need to be an accounting assistant and be a valued member of the team.

What will I study?

NVQ Level 2 in Accountancy and functional skills.

How long is the course?

You must be employed in a relevant role and generally attend College one day a week.

How will I be assessed?

By external computerised assessment. You will also need to build a portfolio of evidence.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 4 GCSEs grade D or above. A good standard of English is essential. You will need to pass an aptitude test and have a successful interview.

What can I progress onto?

You may have the opportunity to progress on to the advanced apprenticeship.
