Is this course for me?

This apprenticeship is suitable for anyone who are at a more intermediate level and looking to develop their skills in accounting, or for those who have already started working in finance and who have a need and desire to attain formal recognition of their skills.

What will I study?

The AAT Advanced stage accounts programme consists of: Advanced Bookkeeping, Final Accounts Preparation, Management Accounting: Costing, Indirect Tax, Ethics for Accountants, Spreadsheets for Accounting, Assessment is by computerised and manual internal or external assessment.

How long is the course?

Up to 18 Months

How will I be assessed?

By external computerised assessment. You will also need to build a portfolio of evidence.

What qualifications do I need?

The programme is entirely open access and there are no prescribed entry requirements, although assessments will involve written and numerical assignments and therefore students should possess basic communication and number skills.

What can I progress onto?

You can progress on to Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship or progress within your career
