Is this course for me?Foundation Entry is an alternative route for those who wish to study an undergraduate Foundation Degree but don't meet the formal entry requirements. An additional, preliminary year of study provides the skills and confidence to succeed at degree level. The course is designed to help you to focus your educational and professional aims and goals; it will assist you to consider how you can engage with the learning opportunities this course and future courses offer to achieve your personal career and professional objectives. The course consists of modules with fixed syllabi that together enable you to gain the knowledge and develop the skills essential if you are to successfully progress. It is designed to allow you to choose or negotiate many aspects of your learning in ways which are appropriate to your abilities, learning preferences and vocational intentions and is a student centred learning approach. Study shifts from a tutor-led/teaching activity to a personally defined learning experience. This is close to the way many professional artists operate and the terms 'reflective practitioners' or 'thinking artist' describe the kind of graduate we expect you to become.

University Centre course fees shown are per annum. Courses lasting longer than one year, fees will be payable per year.
