Is this course for me?

If you want to specialise within this highly rewarding beauty industry then this course is for you. You will be taught to a professional level in this highly commercial environment. Our commercial salons are open to the public to ensure a realistic working environment. This enables learners to develop skills necessary to work with confidence within such a diverse and exciting industry.

What will I study?

This is an intensive course of study for those wishing to enter the beauty industry. The course content includes: skincare, removing hair using waxing techniques, manicure, pedicure, lash and brow treatments and the application of a range of makeup looks, learners will also study anatomy, physiology, salon reception, and health and safety. As part of your programme of study you will participate in work experience to develop your employability skills.11

How long is the course?

TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY Evening for one academic year.

How will I be assessed?

Candidates are assessed by continuous observation of skills and assessment of performance.

What qualifications do I need?

A good general education, to include science, plus a successful interview.

What can I progress onto?

Progression on to a range of Level 3 courses in Beauty Therapy, Nail Technology, Spa Therapy, Specialist Media Make up or to employment as an apprentice.

Other Information

Both Image Centres have state of the art facilities offering a realistic working environment. All students must purchase a kit and an Image Centre uniform, which must be worn when attending classes.
