Is this course for me?

Learners can only access this programme if they are employed in the bricklaying trade. Learners will attend day release or two evenings per week and will also be assessed on site for the NVQ element of the apprenticeship framework. You can progress on to the higher Level 3 apprenticeship.

What will I study?

NVQ Level 2, a Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying and functional skills Level 1 in maths, English and communication.

How long is the course?

Portfolio building and off the job training will be at College on a day release basis or two evenings per week.

How will I be assessed?

Practical assessment will take place on site and at College. Apprentices will also sit end of unit tests and build portfolios for functional skills and their NVQ.

What qualifications do I need?

You will have to be employed in the bricklaying industry. You will be required to sit an initial assessment, the CITB trade test and have a formal interview.

What can I progress onto?

Further study can lead to many opportunities in supervisory and managerial positions and progression onto the higher Level 3 apprenticeship.
