Is this course for me?

This apprenticeship programme offers the opportunity to gain practical on the job experience and a chance to earn as you train.

What will I study?

Apprentices will complete an Apprentice Programme achieving NVQ Level 3, Level 3 Diploma plus Level 2 functional skills in numeracy and literacy and communication. Evidence will be required from the workplace via work based recorder booklets.

How long is the course?

You will attend College one day per week for one academic year with the remainder of your time in the workplace.

How will I be assessed?

Practical assessment will take place both at work and at college. Underpinning knowledge will be tested via portfolio building and end of unit online testing.

What qualifications do I need?

Previous Level 2 qualifications within the trade.

What can I progress onto?

Further higher level study can lead to many opportunities in supervisory and managerial positions or higher education.
