Is this course for me?

This course is designed for those who wish to gain an understanding of the dynamic world of business. You will explore a range of business services and gain experience through a work placement. On completion of the course you may choose to specialise in a particular area of business. You will also complete a work placement with a key local employer.

What will I study?

You will study modules such as Enterprise in Business, Business Online, Principles of Marketing, Financial Forecasting and Sales and Personal Selling. You will also study English and maths unless you already hold a Grade C or 4/5 GCSE. The programme of study will also entail work related learning.

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed via a combination of internal and external methods including formal examination.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 A*-D / 9-3 GCSE subjects including maths or English.

What can I progress onto?

You can progress onto the Business Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma, pursue apprenticeship opportunities or secure employment.
