Is this course for me?

If you are interested in working in a dynamic industry where innovation is paramount, we have a range of study routes as a foundation to a rewarding career. Or you may want to take up further study at university level, in subjects such as web and games or mobile app development and computing. You will discover what computing and creative technologies can offer, enabling you to make informed choices about your future career within computing. With its base of programming languages, HTML and CSS, computer graphics and the development of mobile apps. You will develop an understanding of the maths involved within this high tech industry.

What will I study?

Topics include: Website development using HTML and cascading style sheets, computer programming, digital graphics, mobile app development, creating an online portfolio and multimedia.

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed via a combination of internal and external methods including formal examination.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-3 or equivalent including maths or English.

What can I progress onto?

Achievement will allow progression onto the Level 3 Computer Science courses

Other Information
