If using computers and getting online is a confusing and daunting experience, this is for you.

What will I study?

This course will introduce all the the jargon around using a computer and navigating the internet. It will introduce basic skills such as buying online, searching for websites and using apps.

How long is the course?

14 weeks

How will I be assessed?

You will undergo a practical online exam. Your tutor will also observe you demonstrating the skills you have learned,

What qualifications do I need?

No formal qualifications needed, but some familiarity with using a computer and selecting icons is needed.

What can I progress onto?

Learners will use this qualification to support applications for employment.

Computing and IT tutors have relevant industrial and commercial experience.

IT User Support Technicians

IT user support technicians are responsible for providing technical support, advice and guidance for internal/external users of IT systems and applications, either directly or by telephone, e-mail or other network interaction.

Requirements: Level 3 NVQ; A Levels
