Is this course for me?

The course is designed for those individuals who would like to work within the IT industry. Its focus is fifty per cent practical and fifty per cent theory. It is part of Foundation Learning and so alongside the Diploma you will also study Personal and Social Development, and functional skills.

What will I study?

You will learn how to develop knowledge in the use of general IT applications and gain skills that many employers value.

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through a combination of internal and external methods without formal examination.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 A*-E/F / 9-2 subjects or equivalent.

What can I progress onto?

It will allow progression to Level 2 qualifications.

Other Information

You will study for a qualification in Functional Skills, to Level One in English, Maths and ICT. All students are assigned a Personal Tutor and must attend tutorial sessions including out of class study support. If you are 16 18 years old, you may be eligible for our FREE bus pass.
