Is this course for me?

The programme is delivered by industry experts and education professionals who have extensive computing knowledge as well as industrial and commercial experience. Excellent classrooms and computing laboratories are resourced with up to date software and networking equipment to provide students with the latest technology and university standard resources.

What will I study?

This course includes units such as: Programming, Networking, Professional Practice, Database Design and Development, Security, Managing a Successful Computing Project.

How long is the course?

18 Months.

How will I be assessed?

The programmes are assessed via a variety of methods, from written assignments and practical work to course work.

What qualifications do I need?

A relevant level 3 diploma. Mature students with experience, a portfolio of work and employer references will be considered. Students must also possess a Grade C or above in Maths at GCSE or equivalent.

What can I progress onto?

The HNC can be topped up to an HND and then to BSc(Hons) Computing delivered in partnership with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).
