Is this course for me?

This course allows you to study towards Level 2 Technical Certificate, which forms part of the Electrical Installation Advanced Apprenticeship. Where possible we will attempt to arrange a work placement with employers, which could lead to possible employment. You will be supported by experienced and enthusiastic tutors who will help you achieve your goals.

What will I study?

This course consists of the following units: Working effectively & safely in the electro technical environment, principles of electro technology, application of health, safety & electrical principles and installation (buildings& structures). The practical assignments cover measuring and recording single phase and three phase voltages and currents, and an actual electrical installation for you to complete. Throughout the course you will practise interview techniques, study employers rights and responsibilities and arrange your work placement which will follow the course.

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year.

How will I be assessed?

By 4 online, multi choice examinations and 2 practical assignments.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 A*-D / 9-3 GCSE subjects including maths or English.

What can I progress onto?

To the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation upon securing an apprenticeship or a Level 3 (2365)Electrical Installation Diploma.

Other Information
