Is this course for me?

This course allows you to study a Level 3 Diploma, which also forms part of the Electrical Installation Advanced Apprenticeship framework requirements. Where possible we will attempt to arrange a work placement with employers, which could lead to possible employment opportunity on successful completion..

What will I study?

This course consists of the following units: health and safety in building services engineering, understanding the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems, principles of electrical science. Electrical Installations: fault diagnosis and rectification, Electrical Installation: inspection, testing and commissioning, electrical systems designs and career awareness in building services engineering.

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year

How will I be assessed?

By one online, multi choice examinations and two practical assignments, science written exam and assignment work for inspection and testing, fault finding and design.

What qualifications do I need?

A Level 2 qualification in Electrical Installation.

What can I progress onto?

Upon successful completion of this course, you can progress onto; 5357 Electrical installation apprenticeship, 2382 18th Edition qualification, 2394/2395 Testing and inspection, 2377 Portable Appliance Testing., HNC, University degree and become a Charter
