Is this course for me?

This course offers the opportunity to develop and extend floristry skills and experience. For those wishing to become self employed, it may widen their career opportunities within the industry. It provides the opportunity to develop the design aspects of floristry, including European styles and intricate wirework.

What will I study?

The course comprises 5 core units including: specialist project study, business management and 7 other assignments of practical and theoretical work.

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year

How will I be assessed?

Skill based assessment and assignment, plus a moderate integrated assignment.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 A*-C / 9-4 GCSE subjects or equivalent including maths or English.

What can I progress onto?

Successful achievement leads to employment within the industry or further courses in this field.

Other Information

To employment in florist shops, hotels, garden centres, supermarkets, setting up your own business, demonstration or design work.
