Is this course for me?

This course is designed for learners who wish to gain an insight into the basic skills of Horticulture.

What will I study?

Aimed to provide an exciting insight into this rewarding industry, students will study basic skills, health and safety and personal and social development. The horticulture skills will include tool maintenance, propagation, plant identification and garden maintenance.

How long is the course?

Full time for one year academic year.

How will I be assessed?

Continuous practical and written assessment.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 A*-E/F / 9-2 subjects or equivalent.

What can I progress onto?

Successful completion could lead to a Level 2 in Land based studies Horticulture.
