Is this course for me?

Horticulture is a fast growing industry the course is aimed at individuals who wish to develop their knowledge and skills of garden maintenance, garden design, plant propagation and maintenance.11

What will I study?

Aimed to offer hands on experience plus the knowledge and skills involved in horticulture, the learner will study a variety of horticulture skills, including maintaining plants, designing and setting plants and flowers from a plan, propagating, cultivating fruit and vegetables. Plant identification and retailing in the Land based Sector. All students will participate in work experience as part of their programme of study.

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year.

How will I be assessed?

Continuous practical and written assessment.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 A*-D / 9-3 GCSE subjects including maths or English.

What can I progress onto?

To a Level 3 Horticulture or work within the industry.

Other Information
