Is this course for me?

The Entry Level 1 qualification in Using Employability Skills has been designed to address the needs of learners working at Entry Level and in particular those with learning difficulties and disabilities. The qualifications ensure that all learners are given the same opportunities to access appropriate and relevant education and improve life chances.

What will I study?

Throughout the year you will study subjects to include, Managing money, Using Communication skills, Using ICT skills and equipment, Working with Others, Working in an office, Working in Catering, Working in Retail and Working in Hospitality.

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through a portfolio which you will build throughout the year during class.

What qualifications do I need?

No formal qualifications are required. Entry will be through interview.

What can I progress onto?

You can progress onto Entry Level 2 within Foundation Studies

Other Information

You will study Functional Skills in maths, English and ICT at an appropriate level. You will receive support from and experienced team of professional staff. If you are 16 18 years old, you may be eligible for our FREE bus pass. Find out more at
