Is this course for me?

This course is aimed at learners wishing to build on the knowledge and skills acquired at Level 2, developing underlying principles and practical skills required by the hairdressing industry. This level involves more complex work and taking responsibilities for others with less experience.

What will I study?

The course content includes: health & safety, consultation services, cutting, styling, colouring, perming, creative hair designs plus additional optional units. You will also undertake work experience placement and maths and English is required

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year.

How will I be assessed?

Continual assessment including practical oral and written tests. Students will be expected to produce a portfolio of evidence.

What qualifications do I need?

Successful completion of Level 2 in the subject plus maths or English at grade C / 4.

What can I progress onto?

Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3, Employment, Level 4 in Hairdressing or alternative courses in Beauty Therapy.

Other Information

You will be expected to purchase a kit and Image Centre uniform. You will also have the opportunity to participate in trips, shows and competitions. Cost of uniform: £32.45 plus P&P Kit: £150.56.
