Is this course for me?

This course is designed for students who would like to work in adult care or already work in adult care and would like to progress in their career. This is also suitable for those adults who are looking to retrain and change their careers.

What will I study?

It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health and social care proceduresUnits include; human biology, care values in HSC, first aid and nutrition.

How long is the course?

One academic year

How will I be assessed?

Through various forms of course work which is continually assessed, including written assignments, presentations and debates.

What qualifications do I need?

Level 2 English or Maths and preferable a Level 1 or Level 2 in Health & Social Care

What can I progress onto?

You could progress onto Level 4 Health and Social Care or into employment.

Other Information

You will receive support from a competent, approachable team of staff, who have experience in the Health or Social Care Sector. You will learn about values, interpersonal skills and the care needs of individuals; all of which are required to work in the Care Sector
