Is this course for me?This is a Level 3 Health & Social care programme for 16 18 year olds who want to pursue a career in nursing. You will gain skills to begin a career as a nurse within the NHS and health or social care sectors. The course is suitable for those who has a genuine interest in caring for people and are looking to embark on a career in this rewarding industry. The NHS is one of the largest employers in the UK. Salaries for paramedics and nurses range from £22 - £35k. With experience and seniority, they may rise to £69k. Other career opportunities include Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs work in operating theatres), Prosthetist, Patient Transport Service Call Handler, Learning Disability Nurse, Midwife, Children's Nurse, Neonatal Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Optometrist.
