Is this course for me?

This is a distance learning course for those who are working in the sector and wish to extend their knowledge of individuals with learning disabilities.

What will I study?

You will study Understanding the Context of Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities, Principles of Safeguarding and Protection in Health and Social Care, Introduction to Personalisation in Social Care, Principles of Positive Risk-Taking for Individuals with Disabilities, Introductory Awareness of Autistic Spectrum Conditions and Principles of Supporting Individuals with a Learning Disability to access Healthcare.

How long is the course?

You can start the course at any time throughout the year and should take around 12 week to complete.

How will I be assessed?

You will complete assessments through an online booklet

What qualifications do I need?

No prior qualifications needed however good knowledge of English is required.

What can I progress onto?

You can progress on to another distance learning course or continue to learn in a range of other courses

You will achieve a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification relevant to a wide range of care settings and further your personal and professional development
