Is this course for me?The Programme will prepare you for progression towards careers in the health and care sectors. The Health Professional pathway will develop a wider knowledge and understanding of medical and care organisations and practices. This route combines the relevant A Levels to improve your prospects for employment, or progression to a prestigious university. As well as studying your core A Levels you will also take up a medical related work placement to gain real industry experience.
What will I study?
In year 2 of the Professional Development Day you will complete an Extended Project Qualification. You will also complete additional training in medical skills such as first aid and may join the Debating Society and the iDEA online programme to develop digital skills.

Salaries for paramedics and nurses range from £22 - £35k. With experience and seniority, they may rise to £69k. Other career opportunities include Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs work in operating theatres), Prosthetist, Patient Transport Service Call Handler, Learning Disability Nurse, Midwife, Children's Nurse, Neonatal Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Optometrist.
