Is this course for me?

If you are passionate about music and want to develop more skills to begin a career in this exciting industry, then this course could be for you. You will develop the skills and knowledge as a performer or in a technical role.

What will I study?

You will work on a range of skills including rehearsal techniques for musicians and producing a musical recording. You will be involved in planning, creating and performing a musical performance. Most of the work is practical, but some assignments are written and you will need to reflect on your performance.

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year

How will I be assessed?

Continual internal assessment of assignments, performances and a major project.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 A*-D / 9-3 GCSE subjects including maths or English. You will need to successfully pass an audition.

What can I progress onto?

On to the Level 3 Extended Diploma Music
