Performing in front of a live audience requires skill, confidence, self-motivation and stamina. Our performing arts, acting and dance courses will equip you with the skills to develop as a performer. You will become prepared for a variety of progression opportunities, including university degrees, specialist dance and drama school training and stage careers in a range of settings, including touring theatre companies. There are many behind the scenes roles that you will explore and experience to provide you with the knowledge and confidence to work in this diverse industry. We have strong links with industry professionals who present masterclass workshops to provide a valuable insight into the entertainment industry.What will I study?

Dancers and Choreographers
Dancers and choreographers devise, direct, rehearse and perform classical and contemporary dance routines.
Requirements: Level 2 NVQ; GCSE at grades A*-C

Typical Tasks
- Demonstrates and directs dance moves, monitors and analyses technique and performance, and determines how improvements can be made.
- Participates in dance performance.
- Attends rehearsals to develop and practice dance routines for performance.
- Builds and maintains stamina, physical strength, agility and general health through fitness exercises and healthy eating.
