Is this course for me?

The qualification has been designed to reflect the skills, knowledge and understanding that are required for working in today's Public Services Sector, such as the Police, Army or Fire Service. All students will work on subjects related to a variety of Public Services and have the opportunity to develop skills for employment such as leadership, teamwork and fitness.

What will I study?

The programme modules include: law, practical teamwork, aasisting the public, health and fitness and security. You will also study English and maths at an appropriate level and will undertake a variety of work related activities.

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through a mixture of assignment, group work and online testing.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 A*-E/F / 9-2 subjects or equivalent.

What can I progress onto?

Completion of the programme, alongside appropriate references and a successful interview will allow progression to a Level 2 programme of study.
