You will develop as self-reflecting professionals able to meet the demands of travel and tourism employers adapting to a constantly changing industry

What will I study?

The course provides the opportunity to study: The Contemporary Travel and Tourism Industry; Managing the Customer Experience; Professional Identity and Practice; The Travel and Tourism Business Toolkit; Leadership and Management for Service Industries; Research Project; Tourism Consumer Behaviour and Insight.

How long is the course?

Full-time over two academic years

How will I be assessed?

A varied approach to assessment that supports progression and is also relevant to the local economy, accommodating different learning styles.

What qualifications do I need?

80 UCAS points or equivalent work experience. Mature students with experience, a portfolio of work and employer references will be considered. Students must also have a Grade 4 or above in English at GCSE or equivalent.

What can I progress onto?

The HND is recognised as a sound basis for many professional and managerial positions in the Travel and Tourism industry. Students with a merit/distinction profile may have the opportunity to study at leading universities through a top-up degree. Top-up degrees are for one year and you will enter the final year of the full time undergraduate BA Honours programme. Acceptance to a university programme is at the discretion of the individual university.
