Student Support

The College provides a wealth of opportunity for participating in enrichment activities, from sports events, charity raising initiatives and fun days, the chance to participate in awareness raising events on a wide range of subjects like health topics and the latest headline issues. Students benefit from opportunities to go on curriculum relevant trips and visits and in many areas enter high profile local and national competitions. Raising awareness of these opportunities is a key feature of the pastoral plan with half termly assemblies at each building hosted by the Heads of Studies.

A programme of events is planned each year to educate young people about their health and the importance of looking after it. The College also engages an external Counselling service to widen the support offer from the mental health tutor service we provide internally and to support the most vulnerable students when they need it. Students can access the counselling service through the Student Liaison Team, Safeguarding Team and Mental Health Support Tutors at College.
