Access to Higher Education
Do you dream of going to university but don’t have the entry qualifications? Our Access to HE Diploma could be your route to degree study. If you’re committed to setting aside time to achieve the right level of academic development to progress to university, this may be the option for you.
Access to HE Diploma programmes are recognised by universities across the UK. You may progress to a range of degrees including nursing, midwifery, social sciences, paramedic, social work and health sciences. These courses are a route to higher education for adults aged 19 and over, who may not have the traditional entry requirements, such as A Levels or Level 3 vocational.
Paying for your Access to HE Diploma
Many students don’t have to pay the full course fees as funding, fee remission and loans are available, depending on your circumstances. If you’re aged 19-23 and don’t have a full Level 3 qualification, then the course may be free.
If you do have a full Level 3 qualification or are 24 or over, then you can apply for the Advanced Learner Loan.
This doesn’t have to be paid back if you go to university and successfully complete your chosen degree.
