T Levels
Work while you study
As an alternative to A Levels, T Levels combine the intricacies of the classroom with the practically of a real-life placement. They’re equivalent to three A Levels and are designed with input from top employers providing you with the skills for your future career. You’ll spend 20% of your time in work placement, and the rest of your time in college. They follow on from GCSEs and will last for two years.
We’re offering T Levels in a range of subjects including Accounting, Animal Management, Business, Civil Engineering, Construction, Digital, Education, Electrical Installation, Fashion, Mechnical Engineering and Health providing the knowledge and experience needed to open the door to skilled employment, university or a degree apprenticeship.
After passing your T Level, you’ll get a nationally recognised certificate showing the overall grade you achieved – pass, merit, distinction or distinction*. It’ll also give details of what you learned on the course to help you move into skilled employment or a higher apprenticeship.
How does it work?
Take T Levels after your GCSEs and experience an exciting combination of classroom and work-based learning.
You’ll spend 20% of your time in an industry placement (approximately 45 days) and 80% of your time in college. You’ll get the knowledge and experience needed to open the door into skilled employment, university or a degree apprenticeship.
What’s great about a T Level?
They’re designed to give you a broad range of knowledge and skills necessary for employment; linked to your area of study and industry sector. They provide the opportunity to develop your specialist technical skills that employers find attractive.
T Levels have been designed with many huge employers such as the BBC, Fujitsu and IBM having an input into what they want to be included in the qualifications. This means you’ll be able to learn many of the key skills that these big organisations look for.
We work with lots of employers and will support you in securing your industry placements. This will include preparing you with applications, interviews and assistance with the necessary paperwork.
