Is this course for me?

Ever wanted to know how to groom your own dog? This is an introduction to dog grooming, covering the basics, giving you the skills to groom your own dog. During this course you will undertake 6 weeks of dog grooming followed by 2 weeks covering the basics of animal first aid.

What will I study?

You will study: the basic equipment used to groom a dog, learn the basics of bathing and grooming a dog, learn the basic techniques of scissoring and clipping and the fundamentals of animal first aid.

How long is the course?

8 week short course

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed via practical and written assessments

What qualifications do I need?

No formal academic qualifications required. However, you should be confident handling a range of different dog breeds

What can I progress onto?

On successful completion of this course you could progress onto a professional dog grooming qualification
