Is this course for me?

The qualification offers the learner an opportunity to identify the skills they require to be able to progress towards some form of employment; this can include supported employment or voluntary placements. This qualification can provide a springboard to other qualifications within specific vocational areas

What will I study?

During the course you will study subjects to include: Applying for jobs and courses, Follow instructions in the work place, Health and Safety procedures, Using ICT skills and equipment, Using number skills, Using Communication skills, Working with others, Induction to work, Working in Catering, Working in Hospitality.

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through a portfolio which you will build during the year in class.

What qualifications do I need?

No formal qualifications are required. Entry will be through interview.

What can I progress onto?

You can progress onto an Entry Level 3 course within the College in any vocational area

Other Information
